The marquee project for Floyd County Schools is the construction of a new Model High School facility. The Floyd County Board of Education selected Ra-Lin Construction to be the construction manager at-risk for the Model project. A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new school in May with construction work beginning after the last school day for students on May 22, 2009.
